About

My e-mail address is elemteacher2be@gmail.com.

I suppose it’s a good idea to have an official about section so anyone who comes here can know a bit about me.

I’m in my early to mid 20s. I graduated from Cal State Northridge in 2006 with a B.A. in Journalism and continued on to get my teaching credential from CSUN as well in 2008. I began working when I was 15 at Six Flags Magic Mountain. I was there for a month before I quit (too much trouble to get there). When I was 18 I began working at Robinson’s May. I worked there for about a year and a half before I quit that place as well. At that point a friend got me a job as a Teacher’s Assistant at a local Elementary school. It paid better than RMay and the hours were better, how could I say no?

After a few months there and helping students in their studies… I decided that maybe teaching was for me. So… now I am a teacher.

When it comes to the blogging world? Back in the good old days of Live Journal in 2002 I got a “code” to start my own journal and so I did. Since then, just about 6 years now, I’ve been blogging almost on a daily basis. I jumped from Live Journal to my sister’s server, then came back to LJ and then recently made the move to Word-Press, which I am really liking.

To me, blogging is therapy. Anything I have on my mind I can come here and just type away all my stress and anger. Or maybe it might be happiness and laughter. Either way, it helps me deal with my everyday life. Without blogging I think that I would be in a much more confused time of my life.

I currently live with my parents until I get a full time job (which may be soon) and save up some to move out. I have 3 siblings, 2 sisters and a brother. My oldest sister has 2 daughters, Mika and Camila who are 6 and 3. My brother has a daughter (Nikki, 4) and Jonathan.

Glad to find your blog. I am a recently retired elementary principal/former teacher so I’ll be very interested in following your blog! It is a fantastic profession—you can really make a difference–one child at a time. Kudos! Mitch
